Canadian Citizenship Preparation is a free program that supports newcomers in understanding the Discover Canada Study Guide and preparing for the Canadian Citizenship Test.
Through guided learning, helpful discussions, and structured study support, participants gain a confident understanding of Canadian history, geography, government, rights and responsibilities, and other key test topics.
Please note this program is only available in downtown Vancouver.

Is this program free?
Yes. All Citizenship Preparation classes are offered at no cost for eligible newcomers.
How long does the program take?
The program runs on an ongoing basis with flexible participation so newcomers can attend sessions as they prepare at their own pace.
Do I need to bring the Discover Canada Study Guide?
Yes. The program is based on the Discover Canada Study Guide, and we encourage participants to bring their copy in print or digital form.
Will this program tell me if I am eligible for citizenship?
Our team can help you understand study materials and the test process, but formal eligibility should be confirmed through Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
Can I join the class even if I�m just starting to think about citizenship?
Yes. Newcomers at all stages of the citizenship journey are welcome to join and learn at their own comfort level.
