
Finding your first job or starting a new chapter in Canada can feel overwhelming without guidance and support. The Youth Employment Bootcamp (YEB) helps youth ages 15 to 30 gain clarity, build confidence, and develop practical skills needed to access meaningful employment.
Whether you’re exploring the job market, learning how to network or need to tailor your resume, our Case Managers work with you at your pace. As part of the YMCA Employment Services, Youth Employment Bootcamp (YEB) is a free, multi-week program designed to help youth prepare for work.
The program supports youth as they explore their strengths, build confidence, develop job-ready skills, and connect with employers through hands-on learning, a combination of workshops, one-on-one coaching, personalized employment planning, accredited training and financial supports to help youth take meaningful steps toward long-term career success..
Advantages of participating include the opportunity to access free skills training in a variety of different industries, obtain key employment skills and certifications, potential access to financial supports, a free YMCA BC membership and more!

What certifications can I earn?
The program includes accredited and employer-recognized certifications such as FOODSAFE Level 1, and may offer First Aid, WHMIS, SuperHost, or other workplace training depending on cohort.
How often is the program offered?
The bootcamp runs periodically throughout the year. Participants receive exact session dates once they register.
Do I need work experience to join?
o. The program is designed for youth at all levels, including those entering the workforce for the first time.
Will this program help me find a job?
The program provides job-search coaching, resume and interview preparation, and skill-building to increase your readiness for employment. While it does not guarantee a job, it equips you with tools to succeed.
Do participants receive financial support?
Eligible participants may receive a living allowance based on attendance and engagement, plus additional supports if required.
