Building a healthier and more connected BC

In 2023, three YMCAs—YMCA of Northern BC, Kamloops Community YMCA-YWCA and YMCA Greater Vancouver—united to form YMCA BC, bringing together over 138 years of experience and deep community roots into one provincial organization.

YMCA BC is one of BC's largest non-profit service providers, supporting over 225,000 British Columbians each year.

From early childhood development and affordable housing to mental wellness and employment, our charity ignites belonging and delivers meaningful impact across urban, rural and remote communities, to build a healthier, more connected BC for all.

Building vibrant, healthy and inclusive communities

We ignite belonging by enabling everyone in our communities to have equitable access to healthier outcomes.

YMCA BC provides vital programs and services that have a positive impact on some of our communities’ most pressing social issues including health and wellbeing, child care, mental wellness, healthy aging, employment and newcomer settlement.

At YMCA BC, safeguarding children and youth is our highest priority. We take pride in inspiring children and youth to authentically be themselves and ensuring their best interests take precedence.
