Mind Medicine
Program overview

Mind Medicine is a free seven-week group based mental wellness program for Indigenous teens and young adults ages 13 to 30 who are experiencing mild to moderate anxiety or stress and is facilitated by Indigenous-serving oranizations.

This program weaves culture, connection, and community strength into the Y Mind curriculum to support wellness in a culturally responsive way.

Developed in 2019 through collaboration with Indigenous youth, an Indigenous consultant, an Indigenous Advisory and 13 pilot communities, Mind Medicine was shaped by Indigenous voices and lived experiences. While based on the Y Mind curriculum, the program adapts flexibly to reflect the culture and context of each community.

Organizations interested in delivering Mind Medicine can request an exploratory meeting.
