What is CCRR?

Support for Families, Providers and the Child Care Workforce

YMCA Child Care Resource and Referral (CCRR) helps families find child care and connects providers and the child care workforce with resources, guidance and local support that help children thrive.

Depending on the region, services may include child care referrals, lending libraries, family programs, professional development and one-to-one support.

Services vary by region. Explore the sections below to find the supports available in your area. If you are looking for care outside a YMCA BC CCRR service area, please visit the Provincial CCRR website to find your local CCRR.

Personalized child care referrals

Get tailored support to find local child care options that fit your family’s needs, with guidance on what to ask and how to compare programs.  

Resource lending library

Borrow books, games, felt stories, loose parts and other early learning materials through regional lending libraries and online catalogues.

Professional development and support

Access workshops, networking, consultations, updates and practical tools that help child care programs deliver quality, inclusive care.

Learn about the Ages & Stages Questionnaire® (ASQ), a developmental and social-emotional screening tool completed by parents or caregivers and scored by trained facilitators. This free resource can help identify developmental needs early.

Each season, YMCA CCRR shares free drop-in programs and activities for families with young children. Offerings vary by region and may include in-person and online programs for children from birth to age 6.

Bettie Allard Family Drop-Ins
Join free drop-in play sessions in Coquitlam for parents, caregivers and children ages 0 to 5 to play, learn and connect.
Tri-Cities Family Drop-Ins
