Postpartum Connections is a supportive group for women experiencing mild to moderate postpartum depression, anxiety or feelings of isolation. Sessions combine peer connection with gentle educational content that helps parents explore emotional well-being, self-care and coping strategies.
Becoming a mother can change everything. Alongside love and joy, the postpartum period can also bring isolation, emotional overwhelm and moments of self-doubt that many mothers are not prepared for. Rooted in YMCA values of care, belonging and inclusion, Postpartum Connections supports mothers in restoring balance, strengthening emotional well-being and finding reassurance in community.
We understand that maternal well-being is shaped not only by physical recovery, but by feeling emotionally supported, understood, and connected during this vulnerable transition, which is why this guided group offers a compassionate space where mothers can share their experiences openly, learn supportive coping tools and connect with others who are walking a similar path.
Through peer connection and facilitated learning, participants begin to feel less alone, more confident in themselves and more grounded in their role as a mother.
