The Juniper Program supports youth ages 14-18 who have diverse abilities and/or additional needs to continue to participate in our day camp programs, alongside our Aspen Campers. This program focuses on having fun, building confidence and fostering a sense of belonging.

About YMCA Camp Kanannaq

Surrounded by 200 acres of lakefront property and vibrant forest, YMCA Camp Kanannaq offers a beautiful outdoor setting where campers can explore, learn and grow. With a scenic waterfront, forested activity spaces and welcoming shared areas, camp creates memorable experiences rooted in adventure, connection and a love for the outdoors.

  • Forested program spaces for activities like archery, fire-building, orienteering and knot-tying
  • Large indoor meeting space for group activities and gatherings

  • Covered spaces throughout camp for shelter from sun or rain
  • Outhouses, handwashing stations, and water stations located across the site

Financial assistance
  • The YMCA raises money year round in order to offer financial assistance so that every child has the opportunity to attend camp
  • Financial assistance applications are open and will be accepted until two weeks prior to the requested session date
